Welcome to my first blog post!
Cross Stitch was the first craft I ever learned and the first class I ever taught. I therefore thought it quite fitting to make my first blog post about… you guessed it, cross stitch!
Cross stitch can be found in works dated as far back as sixth century BC! When you first think of this craft, I bet the traditional samplers spring to mind.
However, the beauty of this relaxing stitching craft is that it does not have to be traditional. In the last year or so it has been given a new identity in the modern world of sewing and crafts!
Cross stitch graffiti has been making an appearance and new cross stitch fabrics and materials have brought this once very traditional art to the current ‘on trend’ hashtags!
