Group Booking Policy

Payments

Full payment is required at time of booking to secure your event.

Payments are processed by Paypal invoice. You do not need a Paypal account to pay in this way.

If you are unable to pay online, cheques will be accepted with the following conditions: Cheques for the total amount must be received by MAKE! The Lakes no less than 35 days before the workshop start date and must clear no less than 28 days before the workshop start date. If you wish to pay by cheque please email makethelakes@gmail.com for further details.

Cancellation Policy 

If you cancel a group workshop booking for whatever reason and inform MAKE! The Lakes by email more than 28 days in advance of the workshop date, you will be able to either change to another mutually agreeable date or receive a refund minus 50% of the total fee.

If you need to cancel a workshop booking for whatever reason and inform MAKE! The Lakes in writing less than 28 days before the workshop date, you may still be able to move to another date but you will forfeit the total fee.

Please note that a change of date by the customer will be permitted only once, after which the total fee will be forfeited and event cancelled.

To ensure fairness to all customers MAKE! The Lakes is unable to make any exceptions to this policy, including for reasons of illness, travel or family emergency.

In the unlikely event that MAKE! The Lakes needs to cancel a workshop, due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, we will give you as much notice as possible and offer you an alternate workshop date or a full refund. MAKE! The Lakes does not accept liability for any 3rd party costs incurred in relation to the booking.

Terms

Included materials differ between workshops, and participants may be required to bring along some items for some workshops. All of this information is stated in the description for each individual workshop, and you will receive more information when you book.

MAKE! The Lakes is not liable for any accidents or injuries, to yourselves or personal possessions, that may occur whilst you are in a workshop.

MAKE! The Lakes requires students to conduct themselves in a reasonable and proper manner at all times during workshops. Any violent, indecent, disorderly, threatening, offensive or disruptive behaviour towards the teacher or other students will not be tolerated and will result in the offending student being asked to leave the workshop. MAKE! The Lakes also reserves the right to refuse their attendance to future workshops in extreme cases.

MAKE! The Lakes reserves the right to alter pricing at any time and are under no obligation to issue a refund or voucher for any workshop booked outside of any offer or sale.

The use of any handouts, designs, photography or materials from MAKE! The Lakes workshops are strictly prohibited for use in your own workshops, classes or business.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an Adult who is present for the full duration of the workshop. If the adult wishes to take part in the activities they must purchase their own ticket. They are more than welcome to just watch or assist the child with their project for free. There should be at least 1 adult to every 2 children.

MAKE! The Lakes may update this policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
