COVID-19

We are monitoring the most recent guidelines from the government closely. Guest and customer safety is our priority.

The guidelines below will be updated as government regulations change and you will be notified of up to date procedures for during events closer to the time.

Workshop & Retreat Cancellations due to COVID-19

Should government regulations state that an event is not able to go ahead, the event will be rescheduled to another date and guests will have the option of either a full refund or to transfer their booking to the alternative date.

Should you or someone you live with be showing symptoms of or test positive for COVID-19 within 14-days before an event start date do not travel and follow government guidelines. Inform MAKE! The Lakes as soon as possible. Your workshop or retreat date will be transferred to another workshop date. Any requested refunds will operate in line with our usual workshops or retreat policy.

Workshops and Retreats

Class sizes will be reduced to stay in line with guidelines.

Attendees will be provided with hand sanitiser to use as required during the event. For residential retreat guests, bathroom facilities will be per person (or per room if sharing with another). For other attendees and for day workshops, bathroom facilities will be cleaned thoroughly every 24hours and/or between workshops.

For residential retreats: Guests can only share a room if they are from the same household or bubble.

All tools and equipment will be sanitised before the event by a member of staff wearing appropriate PPE.

Students will be allocated their own set of tools for use during the workshop/retreat.

If any equipment is required to be shared between students, sanitising facilities will be provided for between each use. This will be kept to a minimum and where possible students will be split into groups with the minimum amount of the same people sharing.

Workstations in the sewing room will be set up following social distancing and will be thoroughly cleaned every 24hours and/or before each new event.

Guests are required to bring and wear their own face coverings and these must be worn at all times, except when eating. Tutors, hosts and other members of staff will also be wearing masks at all times and if required gloves.

Refreshments will be allocated per person and served by the event host.
